LG has just announced that its second 3D Android smartphone, the Optimus 3D Max, is now shipping in Europe. While LG didn’t mention the handset’s official price, we found it at Amazon Germany, where it costs as low as €494 (about $650).

The new Optimus 3D Max is lighter and thinner than the first Optimus 3D, measuring 126.8 x 67.4 x 9.6 mm, and weighing 148 grams. It features a 4.3 inch 3D WVGA display with Gorilla Glass 2, NFC, HSPA + 21Mbps, GPS, Wi-Fi, DLNA, 3D Converter, 3D video editing, HDMI, 5MP dual-lens camera (for 3D photos and videos), 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support.

The LG Optimus 3D Max runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread at the moment, but it will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sometime later this year.

We talk bout the IAA Motor show and how both Mercedes-Benz and VW have shared new innovations that require an iPhone. We go through the status of an untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5 upon release, the probabilities of iMessage going to the Mac, and we even talk about the recent claim by Samsung where they assure their Galaxy S II is thinner than the iPhone 4. In the Not So Cool section we go through our disappointment in seeing September breeze by and still no confirmation on when Apple will have their yearly “September Music Event”. HTCs not making it easy for us. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer is doing its best to convince us that the HTC One S, despite being the "middle" phone in the HTC One line — between the One X and the One V — in fact is the best phone in the bunch. And, truth be told, were wavering.Youve read our complete HTC One X review. Weve done the HTC One V. And weve already reviewed the Euro version of the HTC One S. And Ive had that one for a number of weeks, too.Point is, were not unfamiliar with these phones. And neither are you after the thousands of words and what feels like hours of video weve brought you. What follows is our T-Mobile HTC One S review. It has a lot in common with its European counterpart, and well highlight what those of us in the states have to look forward to.This phone is a little slice of sexy. Never thought wed call a 4.3-inch smartphone little, but the HTC One S is a mere 7.8 mm thick, and it makes it feel smaller than it really is. Has a powerful processor and great design, and an excellent camera. Its running the most recent version of Android with some nice customizations from HTC.The non-removable battery and lack of a microSD card will be a nonstarter for some. The display, while not bad, isnt as good as its big brother in the HTC One X. Can get pretty hot under a heavy load.If youre in the market for a new smartphone on T-Mobile, you need to check out the HTC One S. Its got a great design, its got great hardware, and the software is top of the line. And it can nearly replace your point-and-shoot camera.
